Dot Matrix mode uses a higher-resolution LED renderer designed to keep characters crisp and legible while preserving clearly visible individual dots. Aircraft photos are hidden; when available, the airline tail mark is rendered as an LED graphic. Brightness ranges from subdued (60%) through current brightness (100%) to extra-bright (160%).

Metric order & visibility

Use ↑/↓ to reorder. Untick a metric to hide it. Aircraft age appears only when a reliable build/delivery year is available.

Airline mode uses a curated palette for recognised carriers. If no palette is known, SkyDisplay derives a suitable brand colour from the airline logo; the custom colour remains the final fallback.

Install & share

iPhone/iPad: open SkyDisplay in Safari, tap Share, choose Add to Home Screen, enable Open as Web App if offered, then tap Add.

Mac: in Safari choose File → Add to Dock, or use Plash if you want SkyDisplay as a live desktop wallpaper.

Location access works on localhost and on secure HTTPS deployments. Live aircraft positions are coordinated through the SkyDisplay feed system; recent good data is retained during temporary upstream interruptions.
